According to its literature the Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC) "represents the leading U.S. providers of information technology products and services. In 2000, ITIC member companies employed more than one million people in the United States and exceeded $668 billion in worldwide revenues." This group gave slight preference to the voting records of Republicans in 2000. Some of the issues of concern to this organization include maintaining favorable trade relations with China and extending the moratorium on the taxation of internet commerce.
